Basin New Home builds, renovates, and reimagines homes across the Uintah Basin, the full range of what it takes to put a roof over a family.
The basin is where we live, where we work, and where the families we serve put down their lives. The mountain in our mark is the horizon we wake up to. The sun rising between the peaks is the start of every project: a new home, a new chapter.
“Built like a neighbor would.”
When you ask a neighbor to help with your house, you get more than a job done. You get honesty, accountability, and care, because they’ll see you at the mailbox tomorrow.
I’m Justin Lemon, born and raised in the rural Uintah Basin.
My dad is a general contractor with his own cabinet shop, so I grew up on job sites. I started around eight years old, sweeping floors and running “go-for this, go-for that.” Before long I was sanding piles of cabinet parts stacked as tall as I was.
By sixteen I could work on my own across most of the trades. After high school came college, a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Air National Guard, and then I was right back working for my dad.
I earned a degree in criminal justice and moved to Wyoming to be a police officer. On the side, my brothers and I started a homebuilding company, and within two years I traded the badge to build homes full time. Over the next dozen years we grew it to as many as 30 homes a year across a 200-mile stretch of southwest Wyoming, and I came to know every side of the business: design, sales, construction technology, and everyone’s favorite: warranty.
The best part was never the houses. It was the people: the employees, homeowners, and vendors who became friends. You really get to know how a family lives, and every build is its own relationship. At the end of 2024 we moved back home to the Uintah Basin to be near our parents and in-laws, and I started working alongside my dad again. The woodworking I once dreaded as a kid has become something I love, and it’s given us a new closeness, and a real appreciation for the sacrifices he made to raise eight of us.
So I’ve come full circle, back to my roots. Today I help folks get into the right home for them, site-built or modular. A lot of builders pick a side, but I believe both have their place, and I’ll tell you straight which one fits your family.
Last but not least, I love my life.
Everyday words, not corporate-speak. If a homeowner wouldn’t say it, we don’t either.
We say what it costs, how long it’ll take, and what could go wrong. Surprises kill trust.
We lead with care for your family, not for “the project.” It’s your home, not a job site.
We live here. Local references, real names, real places, and work we stand behind.
Tell us what you’re thinking about: a remodel, a new build, or just a question. We’ll talk it through like neighbors.
